No explosions reported today. The lava flow was 350 m long this morning.
Friday, Nov 16, 2012
The current phase of weak activity endures. INSIVUMEH has no reports of explosions, but the lava flow continues to be weakly active and had a length of 250 m this morning.
Thursday, Nov 15, 2012
Very few if any explosions have been occurring recently at Fuego. The lava flow towards the Ceniza canyon, 350 m long on 14 Nov, remains weakly active.
Tuesday, Nov 13, 2012
Fuego has been relatively quiet during the past day, with no explosion reported by INSIVUMEH. The lava flow is still weakly active but has decreased to 200 m length.
Monday, Nov 12, 2012
3 weak strombolian explosions were counted during 11-12 Nov (6 during 10-11 Nov) and the lava flow remained active with a length of about 350-400 m.
Sunday, Nov 11, 2012
During 9-10 Nov, Fuego was unusually quiet with only 3 weak explosions. The latest INSIVUMEH report also mentions the length of the lava flow at only 200 m, which would suggest that effusion rate has dropped a lot (temporarily).
