11 explosions including a moderately strong one were counted during 5-6 Feb. Weak strombolian activity was seen at night with incandescent blocks thrown to about 100 m above the crater. The lava flow continues to be active and was 300 m long.
Monday, Feb 04, 2013
Effusive activity has increased in favor of explosive again. The lava flow towards Ceniza canyon was 800 m long this morning, the second one towards Taniluyá canyon 400 m. No explosions were mentioned in the latest bulletin of the observatory.
Sunday, Feb 03, 2013
The two lava flows advanced a bit and have now a length of about 300 m. Explosive activity has been weak in return during the report interval 1-2 Feb. There were only 5 small explosions with plumes rising 400 m registered.
Friday, Feb 01, 2013
The effusion rate has again increased today. The old lava flow headed towards the Taniluyá canyon gained strength again and increased to 200 m length and a new flow started to flow towards the Ceniza drainage and reached 150 m length this morning. ...
