Weak to moderate strombolian explosions with ash plumes rising about 600 m and drifting for 10 km were reported today.

Mild strombolian activity continues, with incandescent pulses of about 100 m heigh and ash plumes rising up to about 700 m above the crater.

The volcano is back to its typical mild, but continuous activity. INSIVUMEH reports 6 weak strombolian explosions with ash plumes rising about 400 m and incandescent bombs ejected to 100-150 m height above the crater.

INSIVUMEH reported that during 14-15 February white plumes rose 150 m above Fuego's crater and drifted W and NW. The lava flow traveled 500 m SSW down the Ceniza drainage and produced avalanches. Activity increased on the night of 16 February and was characterized by explosions, pyroclastic flows, and lava flows. ...
