After the paroxysm on 2 Sep, the lava flow effusion has stopped and the volcano has returned to its typical activity with occasional explosions from the summit vent. INSIVUMEH reported 6 moderate explosions yesterday with ash plumes rising up to 800 m and drifting for 10-12 km before dispersing.a.

The lava flows were no longer active yesterday morning. Activity consisted in weak to moderate strombolian explosions with incandescent material projected to up to 150 m above the crater, and ash plumes of a few 100 m height.

Activity has not seen significant changes over the past days. Mild to moderate explosions (14 during 26-27 Aug counted) produce ash plumes of 200-500 m height and weak to moderate glowing avalanches of bombs on the upper slopes.
