Fuego volcano (Guatemala): increasing explosive activity

Fuego yesterday morning (INSIVUMEH)

Current seismic signal from Fuego volcano (FG3 station, INSIVUMEH)
Ash plumes rose up to 1 km from the summit and moved in westerly directions for about 10 km distances. Constant glowing avalanches were observed on the upper southern flank towards the Ceniza canyon.

INSIVUMEH reported that during 4-6 September explosions from Fuego generated ash plumes that rose 800-850 m and drifted 10-12 km W and SW. Block avalanches descended the Ceniza (SSW) drainage.
