Gamkonora volcano (Halmahera) - Smithsonian / USGS Weekly Volcanic Activity Report for 29 June-5 July 2022 (Continuing Activity)

PVMBG reported that diffuse white plumes rose 20-60 m above Gamkonora's summit were visible during 1 January-29 June, and no other changes were observed. Deep and shallow volcanic earthquakes were rarely recorded. On 30 June the Alert Level was lowered to 1 (on a scale of 1-4).Residents and tourists were asked not to venture near the crater within a radius of 1 km.
