Eyjafjallajökull volcano (Iceland): seismic unrest

As Dr Ralph Harrington reports on his excellent Volcanism Blog, Eyjafjallajökull volcano, located 30 km east of the more well-known Katla volcano in southern Iceland, has recently been very restless. In addition to apparent inflation, the levels of seismicity around the volcano have been very high in the past weeks. Wether this is a precursor to an eruption in some near future is however not easy to say.
