An earthquake of magnitude 4.4 occurred only 11 minutes ago 100 km southeast of Akureyri, Iceland, the Icelandic Met Office (IMO) reported.

The quake hit at a very shallow depth of 4 km beneath the epicenter near Akureyri, Akureyrarkaupstaður, Northeast, Iceland, in the evening on Friday 26 March 2021 at 8:16 pm local time.
