The quake hit at a very shallow depth of miles beneath the epicenter near Sutton-Alpine, Matanuska-Susitna, Alaska, USA, early morning on Thursday 6 May 2021 at 1:31 am local time. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
