A very shallow magnitude 4.4 earthquake was reported around noon near Santa Monica, Surigao del Norte, Caraga, Philippines.

According to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), the quake hit on Thursday 10 June 2021 at 12:41 pm local time at a very shallow depth of 2 km. Shallow earthquakes are felt more strongly than deeper ones as they are closer to the surface.
