A second report was later issued by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), which listed it as a magnitude 4.4 earthquake as well.
According to preliminary calculations, we do not expect that the quake was felt by many people and did not cause any damage. In Manado (pop. 451,900, 89 km away), Tomohon (pop. 27,600, 97 km away), Laikit, Laikit II (Dimembe) (pop. 8,000, 100 km away), and Tondano (pop. 33,300, 107 km away), the quake was probably not felt.
