I run out thinkin a neighborhood house collapsing. just find everyone lookin at each other. and we conclude its musisi a local word meaning earth quack

Kaiso, Hoima District / Moderate shaking (MMI V) : There was moderate shaking in areas around Lake Albert, especially Kaiso-Tonya area. People moved out of their huts, made noise and some of the huts collapsed. The earthquakes struck several times but with different magnitudes.

I rushed to wake my wife and children but the shaking and rattling has already stopped.We were really scared for the second wave but it came while we were asleep.

It was loud, like something as big as a plane passing right under my feet.

Kawempe, Kampala Uganda / Strong shaking (MMI VI) : Was having supper. Started with the door, then the spoons on the table were rattling, my water glass shook too! Was an exciting feeling! The sound though was horrible, kinda like a train juttling through our nearby neighborhood.
JInja / Light shaking (MMI IV) : Shaking lasted for at least a minute. Metal doors rattled. Dogs throughout neighborhood barked. Friends all over Jinja commented on facebook.
