Wellington (New Zealand, 52 km NE of epicenter) : The earthquake was rather strong and resulted in power loss over the suburb for half an hour. It felt like being on a boat on a stormy sea, and lasted around 20 seconds. Hundreds of aftershocks (many quite perceptible) were registered and are still occurring as I type this.
