An earthquake of magnitude 4.7 occurred only 17 minutes ago 115 km southwest of Banda Aceh, Indonesia, Indonesia's Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency (BMKG) reported.
The quake hit at a shallow depth of 13 km beneath the epicenter near Banda Aceh, Kota Banda Aceh, Aceh, Indonesia, early morning on Saturday 5 December 2020 at 2.09 am local time. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
