Just 10 minutes ago, a 3.3-magnitude earthquake struck near Clearlake, Lake County, California, USA. The tremor was recorded in the morning on Tuesday 30 March 2021 at 10:05 am local time, at a very shallow depth of 0.7 miles below the surface.
The event was filed by the United States Geological Survey, the first seismological agency to report it.
Our monitoring service identified a second report from the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) which listed the quake at magnitude 3.3 as well.
Based on the preliminary seismic data, the quake should not have caused any significant damage, but was probably felt by many people as light vibration in the area of the epicenter.
Weak shaking might have been felt in Cobb (pop. 1,800) located 3 miles from the epicenter.
Other towns or cities near the epicenter where the quake might have been felt as very weak shaking include Hidden Valley Lake (pop. 5,600) located 12 miles from the epicenter, Clearlake (pop. 15,200) 12 miles away, Cloverdale (pop. 8,800) 13 miles away, Healdsburg (pop. 11,700) 16 miles away, Russian River (pop. 11,700) 16 miles away, and Windsor (pop. 27,500) 19 miles away. In Santa Rosa (pop. 175,000, 27 miles away), the quake was probably not felt.

I was worried about what it could be and I started looking on the Internet and people were talking about an earthquake in many different areas
