The United States Geological Survey reported a magnitude 4.1 quake in the United States near Eureka, Humboldt County, California, only 6 minutes ago. The earthquake hit early morning on Friday 2 April 2021 at 1:21 am local time at a shallow depth of 12 miles. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
Our monitoring service identified a second report from the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) which listed the quake at magnitude 4.1 as well.

Lake forest / Weak shaking (MMI III) / 1-2 s : Woke to headboards in our hotel room rattling. It was around 1:20 am. Searched for “tremor” to see if there was on in Orange County.. this tremor was way too far for me to have felt it but.. weird? | 4 users found this interesting.
