6 km NW of epicenter [Map] / Light shaking (MMI IV) / rattling, vibrating / 2-5 s : It felt like a huge truck was going past but it lasted longer then a truck would’ve, also my dog freaked out  
Pyes Pa, Tauranga (41.3 km WNW of epicenter) [Map] / Weak shaking (MMI III) / rattling, vibrating / 10-15 s : i was upstairs sitting on my bed when the bed and everything just started to shake. it went on for about 10-15 seconds then all of a sudden just stopped. but im not exactly sure if i was an earthquake but i think i was  
721 Maniatutu Road, Pongakawa / Moderate shaking (MMI V) / complex motion difficult to describe / 5-10 s : We were outside, there was a deep thump and shake of the house, a fan fell over, kids playing outside all felt it. Peacocks made a lot of noise  
Paengaroa / Moderate shaking (MMI V) / horizontal (sideways) swinging / 5-10 s : Very strong here on Maungarangi Road and rolled for quite some time. Our dog came inside for reassurance...he didn't like it at all.  
Rotoehu rd Te Puke / Light shaking (MMI IV) / 2-5 s : There was a small eathquake before this one and t was weak however the 2nd one was more intense. I had glasses fall off the shelves and scared me enough I ran outside.  
At home in Ohauiti / Light shaking (MMI IV) / vibration and rolling / 5-10 s : Heard it first, slight rolling motion then intensified to a shake. House creaked, cat unsure. Seemed to go for about 8 Seconds. (reported through our app)
