New submarine eruptions observed in the Kermandec Islands (New Zealand)

Un'eruzione sottomarina ha avuto luogo pochi giorni fa nelle isole Kermandec. L'eruzione non è stata osservata direttamente, ma una nuova zattera grande pomice è stata avvistata da NZ Marina e gli altri. La pomice è drifting 85 miglia nautiche a sud-ovest dell'isola di Raoul il giovedì sera (9 agosto).
La zattera è 250 miglia di lunghezza di lunghezza e 30 miglia di larghezza, circa 26.000 chilometri squake in dimensione, vale a dire circa la dimensione del Belgio e può essere visto su immagini satellitari. Questo suggerisce che l'eruzione era significativa nelle dimensioni.
