Puyuhuapi volcano is a chain of basaltic cinder cones in southern Chile, at the head of Puyuhuapi fjord. The cones were formed on 2 NE-SW trending eruptive fissures.

Background
The larger group consists of 4 cones on the western side of Puyuhuapi fjord and fed lava flows that traveled SE to the sea. The second fissure formed another chain of 4 smaller cones between the head of the fjord and Lake Risopatrón to the north.The two fractures are related to the regional Liquiñe-Ofqui fault zone. The Puyuhuapi cinder cones are extremely well preserved, suggesting a very young age.
