4.2 quake 97 km south of Mohr, Fars, Iran, Jun 23, 2022 12:29 am (GMT +4:30)
According to the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ), the quake hit on Wednesday, June 22nd, 2022, at 11:59 pm local time at an intermediate depth of 97 km. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
Our monitoring service identified a second report from the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) which listed the quake at magnitude 4.2 as well.
Towns or cities near the epicenter where the quake might have been felt as very weak shaking include Kīsh (pop. 20,900) located 84 km from the epicenter. In Mohr (pop. 35,000, 97 km away), the quake was probably not felt.
