Kerinci volcano (Sumatra, Indonesia): intermittent explosive activity continues

An ash plume from Kerinci volcano captured by satellite (image: Sentinel 2)
On 14 March PVMBG recorded an explosion at the volcano that generated a dense brown ash plume, which reached approx. 14,000 ft (4,300 m)
altitude and drifted W and NW.
