PVMBG reported that on 17 October dense white, brown, and black ash plumes rose 100-800 m above Kerinci's summit and drifted NE. White-and-brown plumes rose as high as 400 m and drifted NE and E during 18-19 October. PVMBG reported that during 19-22 August brown emissions from Kerinci rose as high as 600 m above the summit and drifted W. Pilots reported that during 20-21 August ash plumes rose to 4-4.6 km (13,000-15,000 ft) a.s.l., or 150-770 m above the summit, and drifted NE and SW.
