Kikai volcano (Japan) - Smithsonian / USGS Weekly Volcanic Activity Report for 29 May-4 June 2002 (New Activity / Unrest)

Kikai volcano (Japan) - Report for 25 July-31 July 2001 (Continuing Activity)
Continuous volcanic tremor was recorded at Satsuma-Iwo-jima during 20 to at least 23 July. A seismometer about 700 m SW of Iwo-dake crater recorded 50-100 earthquakes daily, in comparison to 30-90 earthquakes recorded daily during December 2000 and March 2001.
