Krakatau volcano (Sunda Strait, Indonesia): activity decreased back to normal levels

Our reporter Doni / VolcanoDiscovery Indonesia spoke with the Krakatau volcano observatory of Anak Krakatau in Pasauran near Anyer, West-Java, and was told that after a brief violent eruption "the volcano has been back to normal again or quieted" now. We will follow the situation closely and report more news as soon as we have it.

On 8 October, a news article stated that activity at Anak Krakatau was increasing; the number of seismic events was 5,204 on 6 October, 5,543 on 7 October, and 5,883 on 8 October.
