Kuchinoerabu-jima volcano (Ryukyu Islands, Japan): increased seismic activity

The Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) reported that an increase of volcano-tectonic earthquakes has been recorded.

Today during at 00:00 and 10:00 local time the seismic station records 39 volcano-tectonic earthquakes.
Explosive eruption is expected in the near future if activity at the volcano increases further.
The warning bulletin states that ballistic impacts of volcanic bombs and pyroclastic flows could affect an area of about 2 km distance from the main crater.
