The explosive eruption occurred from its crater at 18:50 local time yesterday accompanied by ejected scoria that caused incandescent avalanche onto the SE flank at about 500 m distance from the summit.
An ash plume rose approximately 2,600 ft (800 m) above the crater.
Seismic instruments detected 27 volcano-tectonic earthquakes yesterday.
The warning bulletin states that ballistic impacts of volcanic bombs and pyroclastic flows and lahars could affect an area of about 3 km distance from the main crater.
