Lewotolo volcano (Lesser Sunda Islands, Indonesia): strombolian eruptions continue hand in hand with lava flow (video)

The activity of the volcano continues at moderate levels dominated by strombolian eruptions from the summit vent with the lava flow involved.

A spectacular time-lapse video revealed by the PVMBG observatory shows intermittent, discrete explosive bursts, ejecting scoria pyroclasts a few tens of meters into the air along with glowing rockfalls of the lava flow generating small incandescent avalanches.
