Monday Dec 17, 2012 06:53 AM | BY: T
Another explosion occurred at Lokon-Empung at 12:09 local time this morning. The plume from the eruption rose about 3 km. The explosion was so loud that, according to local press articles, it created a mild panic in nearby villages (Kakaskasen, Tomohon).
The status of the activity has not changed from 3 ("Siaga", "watch out", on a scale of 1 to 4) and a radius of the exclusion zone remains at 2500 around Tompaluan crater.
