Explosive activity continues. Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Darwin warned about a volcanic ash plume that rose up to estimated 10000 ft (3000 m) altitude or flight level 100 .

Manam volcano (Papua New Guinea) - Smithsonian / USGS Weekly Volcanic Activity Report for 2 October-8 October 2019 (Continuing Activity)

RVO reported that white emissions rose from Manam during 1-7 October and variable crater incandescence from Main Crater was visible at night. Seismicity was at low to moderate levels with RSAM values fluctuating around 300 units.
