The actively growing lava dome continues to produce near-constant pyroclastic flows from the summit crater.

Our correspondent Andi informed us that tall and dense phoenix clouds were generated by block-and-ash flows (gravity-driven mass flows) today at about 04:53 local time.
Lifted ash plumes, separated from pyroclastic density currents, rose to estimated 4 km altitude and were dispersed towards the Boyong and Gendol river. Glowing avalanches traveled over the southeastern slopes about 3 km distance from the summit.
The volcano's official alert level remains at 3 (on a scale of 1-4), and the public is being warned to stay at least 5 km away from the summit.
