The activity of the volcano continues at high levels.
The Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) reported that series of powerful vulcanian-type eruptions occurred during the past three days. An explosions generated a dense dark ash plumes, which reached approx. 19,000 ft (5,800 m) altitude and drifted S.
Large ash content is dispersed towards the south and causes that the island is covered by thick layer of volcanic ash.
Sulfur dioxide (SO2) emissions reached a high levels.
