Bulusan volcano (Philippines): seismic unrest
Monday Jul 14, 2014 17:36 PM | DOOR: T
There are signs the volcano is becoming restless again. PHIVOLCS detected an increase in seismic activity and slight deformation of the volcanic edifice.
For the time being, no eruption is expected in the near to medium future, and the Philippine scientists keep the alert level of the volcano at its lowest level, where it had been since 2012 after the last eruption in 2011.
Authorities, however, advised to not to approach the high-risk zone of the volcano, defined by a 4 km radius around its summit.
