Thermal anomalies continue to be detected almost daily at the Snow cone, Chirpoi volcano. No ash plumes have been detected which means the activity produces little to no ash.
Monday, Nov 19, 2012
The SVERT raised the Alert Level for Chirpoi to YELLOW today based on the steam plumes detected in satellite imagery and thermal anomalies in the area.
Saturday, Nov 17, 2012
A hot spot is visible on recent MODIS satellite images at the volcano and a dense steam plume drifting SE can be seen on a Aqua satellite image from 16 Nov 2012. Although KVERT lists the volcano as green, it is likely that some activity is occurring at the volcano.
