Seismic recording from Fuego volcano on 31 July (INSIVUMEH)
Fuego's activity has decreased a bit during the past days. The latest report from early 30 July from the observatory counts 9 weak strombolian explosions during the previous day with incandescent bombs reaching 100 m height ash clouds of 200-500 m height, drifting 10 km to the W and NW.
The lava flow towards Taniluya valley is active and has a length of 200 m.
Seismic activity is at moderate levels.

On 29 July, INSIVUMEH observed 6 explosions producing gray columns reaching heights of 300 m and drifting to the W and NW and causing avalanches of incandescent material on the upper flanks. Glowing bombs were seen ejected to up to 100 m above the crater and strong rumbling and jet-engine like sounds accompanied the explosions. ... [meer...]

Fuego volcano continues to produce lava flows and strong strombolian explosions, and CENAPRED and CONRED warn about possibly pyroclastic flows that could be generated by collapsing lava flow fronts and incandescent material rolling down the steep upper slopes of the volcano as has occurred before during the ongoing strong eruptive phase. It is therefore recommended not to stay within canyons in the vicinity of the volcano. The CONRED system maintains constant monitoring. [meer...]

During 14-15 and 17-18 June explosions from Fuego produced ash plumes that rose 300-800 m above the crater and drifted WSW, E, and NE. Explosions generated rumbling sounds and shock waves detected in areas as far as 6 km away. ... [meer...]
