The activity of the volcano continues. Our group who visited the island this week reported frequent weak explosions and ash emissions with lots of electric discharges.
A strong thermal anomaly has appeared today, and bright glow is visible on the webcam. This could indicate a new lava flow descending on the eastern flank of the main cone. We will revisit the volcano next week and report in more detail.
