Another ash eruption occurred at the volcano this afternoon at 16:15 local time. According to local news quoting the local VSI volcano observatory spokesman, the eruption today was the largest in a series since the alert status had been raised on 3 August last year. De vulkaan (niet te verwarren met MErapi in Centraal-Java) barstte weer (do) gisterochtend, produceren een serie van kleine (waarschijnlijk freatische?) as explosies, met ash verontreinigingspluimen die roos op een paar 100 meter boven de krater.

Another small ash eruption occurred yesterday morning 10:10 am local time, the Jakarta Post wrote. According to the article, the explosion produced a small ash plume rising 350 m. VSI maintains the volcano on unchanged alert level 2 (out of 4, "Waspada", "alert").
