Activity has not changed much overall, but the viscous lava flow on the south side of the dome has become more active and now produces frequent avalanches. INSIVUMEH warns that these can now sometimes turn into pyroclastic flows.
Explosions remain rare and produce maximum plumes of about 1 km height. Ash mainly drifts to the SW and produces fine ash fall in the areas of Finca La Florida and Monte Claro.

Activity has remained more or less stable. Occasional explosions occur from the lava dome producing small ash plumes of a few 100 m height. The viscous lava flows on the flanks of the dome are mostly stagnant, but sometime experience small advance and collapses, mostly the flow on the southern side (left in the picture). [meer...]

A lahar descended the valley of the Nimá I river at 13:30 h local time yesterday, caused by heavy rainfalls mobilizing pyroclastic deposits. The mud flow was about 30 m wide, dense, hot and stinking of sulfur, and carried large boulders (up to 3 m across). [meer...]

A moderate explosion occurred last night at 17:55 h (local time) erupting an ash plume rising 600 m and drifting SW and causing light ash fall in Finca La Florida and Parcelamiento Monte Claro.
