Santa María / Santiaguito volcano (Guatemala) activity update
Following the partial collapse of the upper part of the Caliente lava dome on 9 May, the activity of Santiaguito has remained relatively low.

It consisted mainly in degassing, sometimes interrupted by weak to moderate explosions, and continuing rockfalls in the upper part of the dome.
