Explosion from Sheveluch volcano this morning (image: KVERT)

New lava dome growth at Sheveluch volcano (image: Yury Demianchuk/
Yury Demianchuk from the volcanological observatory in Klyuchi reported a few days ago that visual observations on 12 March 2020 confirmed new dome growth from the active lava dome. The actively growing area was located in the right (northern) part of the extrusive dome and had not been observed during the previous months. It now appeared reaching over the edge of the explosive crater, forming a "dome on top of a dome". Read more... Lees alle
