Shiveluch volcano (Kamchatka) activity update

The seismic signal of the volcano suggests a strong explosion occurred this morning, producing an ash plume that rose to estimated 8 km altitude (VAAC Tokyo). At the time of the eruption, the volcano was in clouds.
Similar explosions have occurred frequently during the past weeks.
