Small pyroclastic flow at Shiveluch volcano yesterday morning (KVERT webcam)
The lava dome remains active and continues to grow slowly although activity is currently rather towards the lower end of the volcano's long-term average.
Occasionally, parts of of the dome collapse into small to moderate pyroclastic flows such as occurred yesterday morning, producing associated ash plumes that rise a few kilometers.

The extrusive-explosive activity of the volcano continues at moderate rate. Glowing avalanches from the active lava dome and strong degassing indicate ongoing magma supply.
