Stromboli (Eolian Islands, Italy): The activity at the volcano is currently at comparably low levels. After a short-lived increase in frequency and average size of explosions during September, the typical strombolian activity has again decreased.
When observed during the past week, both the western, central and eastern vents were active, but only produced very small strombolian explosions at intervals of typically 20-30 minutes, ejecting little incandescent material to only a few tens of meters. Moderately large explosions with ejections of more than 50-100 m occurred only sporadically from the eastern vent at intervals of up to several hours.

Klyuchevskoy (Kamchatka): The (mainly effusive) eruption continues strongly and with little changes. Several lava flows remain active on the upper eastern slopes of the volcano; the one one the western side has stopped at some time around 18 or 19 September.
The abundant lava emission continues to enlarge a field of fresh lava on the upper slopes of the volcano and produces an intense thermal signal. Intermittent mild to moderate ash emissions from strombolian activity in the summit crater produces occasional ash plumes that often are detected on satellite data.

Shiveluch (Kamchatka): The lava dome remains active and activity has not changed significantly after the major collapse event 3 weeks ago. Glowing rockfalls and occasional block and ash pyroclastic flows descend the western canyon as result of instabilities and continued growth.
At the same time, explosions of small to moderate size have become more frequent, too, and been occurring at rates of 1-2 per day recently.
The Aviation Color Code of the volcano remains at Orange.

Bromo (East Java, Indonesia): The volcano remains highly restless with fluctuating intensity of degassing and ash venting. A peak of activity took place during 6-8 Oct when intense degassing and near-continuous ash emissions occurred in longer phases.
Weak incandescence, probably from hot gasses, was seen from the crater. Activity has now decreased again a bit during the past 2 days. The alert level remains at 3 ("siaga", alert) on a scale of 1 (lowest) - 4 (highest).

Semeru (East Java, Indonesia): A lava flow is again active on the southern slope of the volcano. After similar activity during the first half of the year, the lava flow stopped around early August, but reappeared in September. At the moment it has a length of approx. 1500 m and can be seen from the south.
Explosive activity is present as well, but only in the form of weak strombolian explosions at the summit vent.

Dukono (Halmahera): (10 Oct) Volcanic Ash Advisory Center Darwin (VAAC) issued the following report: CONTINUOUS VA EMISSION LAST OBS TO FL080 TO NE AT 10/0020Z.

Colima (Western Mexico): The activity at the volcano remains intense although seismic measurements seem to indicate a gradual decrease over the past days. Since the start of the second phase of lava dome growth since 5 Oct, a second viscous lava flow has been descending on the southern slope, more or less overriding the first lava flow.
At the same time, explosions at the summit crater have become more frequent and stronger in size, often producing plumes of 1-2 km height:

Etna (Sicily, Italy): The volcano has remained calm, at least on the surface, during the past weeks. During a visit of the summit region this morning, we had a fine view of the central crater complex (Bocca Nuova and Voragine), completely filled by the lava erupted during the paroxysm in May 2016. ...
