INSIVUMEH recorded that two lava flows continue to be active on the north and northeast slopes of the volcano, currently about 650 m and 300 m long.
Incandescent material is being ejected to an approximate height of 100 to 150 meters above the Mackenney summit crater.
The seismic station records internal tremor associated with magma rising within the volcano.

Effusive-explosive activity of the volcano continues at high levels associated with lava flows in various directions and constant strombolian explosions in Mackenney summit crater. The same activity was recorded during 2006 and 2010, 2014 and during July-August 2019 as the magma was rising within the volcano through the eruptive fissures. Due to high level of activity it is expected higher effusion rate around the cone and explosions can become stronger. ... read all
