The effusive-explosive eruption of the volcano continues at high levels characterized by strong strombolian activity from the Mackenney summit crater.

Judging from video record, another short lava-fountaining episode (so-called paroxysm) appeared from the summit crater yesterday that generated glowing lava bombs up to an approximate height of 500 meters above the summit as well as a tall and dense dark ash column that rose to estimated 11,500 ft (3,500 m) altitude extending about 25 km to the west of the volcano. Visibility of remaining lava fountains was very limited due to an ash clouds.
This event triggered a two new lava flows onto the S-SE-SW slopes of the edifice and branches off into several main arms. The lava on the south-southwestern flank keeping the flow active, currently about 1,100 m long.
