A stronger phase of activity occurred at the lava dome this morning. VAAC Darwin reported an ash plume rising to 11,000 ft (3.4 km), i.a. 2.5 km above the dome.

Ash clouds from the still active dome continue to be detected on satellite images, but have been smaller than previously. Plumes were observed rising to 5,000 ft (1.5 km) altitude over the past days. [more]
