The seismic activity declined to background levels, no explosive events occurred since mid-December last year.
Weakly elevated surface temperatures and minor "venting" continue to be identified within the active vent, related to the cooling of the recent lava flow.
Therefore, a decision has been made by the Alaska Volcano Observatory to lower the Volcanic Alert Level to "Green".
Previous eruptions of Pavlof indicate that the level of unrest can change quickly and eruptive activity could resume with little or no warning. Pavlof is monitored by local seismic and infrasound sensors, satellite data, web cameras, and regional infrasound and lightning networks.
