Piton de la Fournaise volcano (La Réunion, France): fountaining activity increased a bit

The effusive eruption at the volcano continues at slightly intense levels than in previous days.
Intense lava fountains rose a few meters above the cone (image: OVPF)
The fountaining activity increased from low levels to pulsating lava spattering exceeding the cone height.
Lava flows continue to overflow the lava tube at the cone's opening and slowly advancing down the southern flank.
The volcanic tremor continues at fluctuating levels. The seismic station detected one volcano-tectonic quake with a magnitude lower than 0.5 over the past 24 hours.
The ground deformation measurements continue to detect a slight deflation at shallow magma chamber level (2-2,5 km) reflecting magma intrusion and migration within the volcano edifice.
