The effusive eruption at Piton de la Fournaise volcano shows reduced activity today as seen in the webcam (image: OVPF)
Lava fountains within the growing cone decreased in the activity a bit since yesterday, but still continue to build the cinder cone around the vent where occasionally exceeds its height.
The sporadic (at phases of a few minutes to a few hours) pulsating lava continues to flow over the tube's surface at the cone's opening and slowly advancing down the gentle slope.
The volcanic tremor continues at fluctuating levels. The seismic station detected three volcano-tectonic quakes with a magnitude lower than 1 over the past 24 hours.
No significant ground deformation was detected.
