OVSICORI-UNA reported visible incandescence associated with fumarolic activity located south of the Boca A. Seismicity remains stable including regular intervals of 200 to 300 per day. OVSICORI-UNA report that there is currently a stable fluctuation pattern of seismic activity at the volcano. There is continued inflation but not a significant amount. Carbon dioxide/Sulfur dioxide (CO 2 / SO 2) ratios remains stable with the exception of a peak on February 9. There is almost no Hydrogen sulfide (H 2 S). Sulfur dioxide emissions significantly increased over the weekend (February 8-9). The crater lake level has also decreased.

OVSICORI-UNA reported that during 16-26 September sulfur dioxide emissions from Poás drifted W and NE, causing a sulfur odor in Alajuela, Heredia, San José, and Cartago. Acidic rain was recorded at the official’s house in the Poás Volcano National Park (PNVP) on 23 September and at Universidad Nacional Costa Rica (UNA) in Heredia on 26 September. ...
