The activity at the volcano has been increasing during the past two weeks including pyroclastic flows and near-constant explosive eruptions.
IGEPN reported that pyroclastic flows traveled over the western, northern and northeastern slopes where formed deposits. Rolling blocks and hot avalanches are associated with this process.
A satellite images show a thermal anomalies on the eastern (infrared camera) and western (thermal sensors MIROVA and FIRMS) flank, likely caused by a pyroclastic flows.
Ash content varies from minor to large and is dispersed towards the W-NW and SW.
Seismic amplitude is increasing when pyroclastic flows are generated.
